Speaking at the Herefordshire Means Business Women’s Summit
Today I had the privilege of speaking at the Herefordshire Means Business Ltd Women’s Summit, held in the stunning surroundings of Belmont Abbey.
The brief for the speakers was to reflect on how skills learned throughout our journey, from a young age through to the present day, are transferable, and how those skills have shaped what we have learned and how we now apply them within our current businesses.
It was a truly inspiring day, not only sharing my own story and experiences but also listening to an incredible line-up of speakers including Sally Gibson, Fliss Falconer, Mark Perkins, Kim Green, and Emily Witcher.
It is always a little daunting standing up to speak publicly and reflect on your journey, but days like today are such an important reminder of why these conversations matter. Hearing from so many brilliant women in business, all atdifferent stages of their own paths, was both uplifting and motivating.
Running businesses can often feel relentless. It is easy to become so focused on the next challenge that you forget to pause and recognise the value of connection, encouragement, and shared experience. Today created exactly that space.
I came away feeling incredibly grateful, not only to have been invited to speak, but also to have met so many wonderful people throughout the day. The atmosphere in the room was genuinely special, filled with honesty, support, and a real sense of women cheering each other on.
