On World Car Free Day, we’re celebrating our inspectors who are always out and about – weekdays and weekends – carrying out unannounced inspections!
Many travel by bus, underground, or train, and some even clock up 26,000+ steps a day on foot while inspecting.
Each washroom is checked against over 101 criteria – from cleanliness, hygiene, accessibility and supplies, to design and overall user experience.
Every washroom receives a grading, from Bronze through to Platinum Plus, and if truly exceptional… a coveted Diamond Award.
Just like food hygiene ratings, these awards give users confidence that the facilities meet the highest standards.
Today especially, our inspectors show that great washrooms – and greener travel – really do go hand in hand.
