BBC Hereford and Worcester Interview

08 August 2025 13:11

This morning I had the pleasure of chatting with Tammy Gooding on BBC Hereford & Worcester's Breakfast Show about something close to my heart, public toilets.

Sadly, our conversation centred around the recent vandalism at the Waterside Public Toilets in Evesham, which are managed by Wychavon District Council. These loos are not your average facilities, they are some of the highest standard public toilets in the UK, consistently achieving Platinum Plus and over 75% achieving Diamond gradings in the Loo of the Year Awards.

Wychavon has proudly taken home multiple wins in the Public Toilet Category thanks to their commitment to cleanliness, safety, and accessibility. It is therefore heart breaking to see such high-quality public amenities being targeted like this.

Toilets might not always be glamorous, but they are essential, and we must all do our bit to protect and respect them.
