Background

The main Loo of the Year Awards (LOYA), introduced in 1987, recognises and rewards the very best in 'away from toilets'. LOYA has not previously invited the general public to enter their domestic toilets.

Aim of the new Award

A new category is being introduced for 2012, as part of our celebrations of the 25th Anniversary of LOYA, to enable the general public to nominate their own 'loo' for an award. Sponsored by our Headline Sponsor, Lepicol, our aim is to increase awareness of digestive health issues and the importance of clean toilets- everywhere.

Scope of Award

The Loo of the Year Awards - Lepicol 'Home Throne Award' - covering nominations from England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales will be awarded to very best domestic toilet entered, based on the opinion of the LOYA judges.
