Loo of the Year Awards (LOYA) is a UK based Washroom Awards and Consultancy company that promotes the highest standards in washroom provision throughout the UK. Helping you promote your business is important to us, as is helping you to comply with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

This privacy policy explains what to expect when LOYA uses and protects any information that you give LOYA when you enter LOYA, attend our Events or we are sponsored or supported by you. LOYA, we understand that we have a responsibility to protect and respect your privacy and look after your personal data.

When you use our website, submit entry forms by mail or email we receive information about you.

We may collect the following information that you provide by filling in forms on our website www.loo.co.uk including contact forms, entering LOYA online, or information provided by email – including email attachments:

• address and details of your organisation.

If you provide us with personal data about a third party (for example when you enter a customer’s washroom in the Awards), you warrant that you have obtained the express consent from the third party for the disclosure and use of their personal data.

We require this information to understand your needs and provide you with a better service, and in particular for the following reasons:

• To complete LOYA inspections on the premises where the entrant’s washrooms are located
• improve our products and services.
• To comply with our contractual obligations we have with you.
• To fulfil our statutory obligations.

The information that is collected by LOYA includes the following:

• Personal information including name and address of entrants, their email address and telephone number.
• Personal information relating to the name and address of the entry location’s contact if different from the person that submitted the entry or other requirement.
• Payment details appropriate with our credit control procedures.

We do not use credit or debit card payments systems and therefore do not have any record of card details on our secure servers.


We may also use and disclose Personal Information to comply with the law, to enforce our terms and conditions, and to protect our rights, privacy, safety, and property.

We do not share your information with any third parties without your authority. We only keep this information for as long as the information is required in accordance with applicable laws and accountancy purposes.

We are committed to ensuring that we only process personal data if we have valid reasons to do so, and that your information is secure.
